Bull City Legacy downs Huntersville HoopForLyfe 128-119

Durham, N.C. -- The Bull City Legacy played host to Huntersville HoopForLyfe at Walltown Recreational Center in Durham Saturday afternoon.  HoopForLyfe made the 2hour 20minute trip to Durham, and they were ready to play ball. Taking advantage of their strength in the post, Jamal Durham (WSSU) led the way for the visiting team, as Huntersville held a 28-23 lead after the first quarter.  

Bull City assistant coach Andre McCollum coach made several adjustments and guard Tim Plummer (FSU) took over from there.  The Legacy had a 40-point second quarter, and took a 63-55 lead into halftime.  Not to be outdone, HoopForLyfe scored 34-third quarter points, led my Jamal Durham's (WSSU) 23 points.  Mark Carson, (RIT) chipped in with 20 points and 6 rebounds, as HoopForLyfe led 89-88 after three quarters.  

Bull City had another 40-point outburst in the fourth quarter to preserve the 8-point victory. Legacy guard Tim Plummer finished just two assist shy of a triple double.  Plummer's stat line was as follows: 26 points, 16 rebounds, and 8 assists.  Ian Gregory, (St. Thomas Univ.) had a strong game as well with, 27 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists.  Jamario Clayton (Univ. Hawaii Hilo) poured in 23 points, while J'Mell Walters (NCCU) had a double double with 14 points and 10 assists.  

With the win, Bull City improves to 5-2 in the TRBL, while HoopForLyfe falls to 6-2.  These two teams will face each other again March 8th, in Hunterville.
